Volunteer

RRRS owes most of its success to the hundreds of volunteers who give of their time and effort each year to our refugee community. The classic examples of volunteerism are the “3 amigos”, Walt, Leon and Pete. These very experienced and well-seasoned construction and repair guys have been all over the world for FEMA and the Red Cross. They donate generally 3-4 days a week doing repairs and rehabs of our houses. They have led crews of AmeriCorps volunteers and trained them to do some amazing construction work.

Thanks to the many, many volunteers like these guys RRRS is what it is today and hundreds of lives have been changed for the better.
